PIA actively invests in organizations and projects that are seeking to transform communities through sustainable practices that grow the economy through low interest loans, project management, and business development skills.

Sustainable development is a complex concept that encompasses environmental, ecological and economic sustainability. The UN World Commission on Environment and Development defines sustainable development as: “…development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” PIA desires to equip communities to be sustainable through partnership and collaboration with the goal of the community ultimately taking ownership of their transformational development.
