Glendale Youth Project

About the Glendale Youth Project

The Glendale Youth Project (GYP), is a program that offers sports and activities for kids and teens that aim to provide accessible sports, mentors, and tutors to kids ages 6 years to 17 years of age in a fun and safe environment to be active & engaged. For many of our young people, participation in sporting activities can be a fun way to build confidence, self-esteem, communication, and teamwork skills.

Ultimately, GYP hopes to use the fundamentals of sport, tutors and positive mentors/coaches and role models to empower youth.  Equipping them with potentially life-enriching tools for the future. Activities Offered by GYP with the help of local sponsors and Partners in Action are:
• Football
• Volleyball
• Basketball
• Soccer
• Boxing
• Career Development
• Dance
• Cheerleading

2014 brought in several new opportunities and kids from the surrounding area to participate in GYP sports and after school activities to over 300 children per sports season.  We can’t wait to see what 2015 has to offer!
