Greetings from
PIA Founder, Curt Cluff
In 1985, I founded Partners in Action and joined with others to positively impact a drug and crime ridden neighborhood in South-central Phoenix, Arizona. We began by developing affordable housing and a safe gathering place for kids in the community. Since then our mission has expanded to include orphanages around the world. But one thing has always remained constant - our commitment to the principle of partnership.
PIA is about helping good people do good things. We are a Christ-centered, non-profit agency engaged in partnering with local, national, and international people and agencies that are providing care and support to the most needy in the world. Our role is to seek donors, facilitate funds transmission, provide accountability, and marshal resources to support those who might not otherwise receive needed assistance. We seek to stand in the gap for worthy, small, and struggling ministries primarily serving orphans and widows throughout the world.
Seeing the inequities in the world has made me more aware than ever that I am blessed far beyond what I deserve. That realization has made me determined to use what I have been given to bless and enable others. As I travel the world, I see children dying from lack of food, inadequate housing, unsanitary drinking water, or diseases that can be treated. Eleven million children under five years of age will die this year. That means one child dies every 3.6 seconds – 1000 every hour. Hunger kills more than malaria and TB combined. These statistics are real and staggering. But, they don't have to continue! The resources exist in the world to bring life and hope to what seems to be hopeless situations. We at Partners in Action are committed to matching resources with real needs.
We value accountability to both our donors and our partners. Our promise to every donor is that 100% of each gift will be directed as the donor requests. To our partners we promise to assist them in managing these resources to do the most good for the lives in their care. We spend a great deal of time, money, and energy overseeing the various projects our donors support. PIA has certified audits annually. We know each partner with which we work. Our staff and volunteers are on the ground in each area or country where we work to insure that our mission to bring life and hope is maintained.
Those of us in the developed world are blessed to live in the "Disneyland" of this world. The "real" world is a far different place. With our blessing comes responsibility. Living life to the fullest means living beyond oneself.
God has given this world as a gift to humankind. Will you partner with us in making it a better place for more of God's children? Let's put our partnership into action . . . that they may have life.
In the power of partnership,
Curtis Cluff

Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows in their troubles. -- James 1:27
