PIA is very serious about the financial stewardship our Lord has called us to, and as our website states:
Our Responsibility
To ensure that donations to a PIA project go to that specified project, orphanage, and/or child sponsorship.
To receive detailed monthly reports from each project that account for all expenditures.
To have certified audits annually to ensure the funds have gone where they were intended.
How does PIA ensure the integrity of the projects and homes they support?
We receive monthly reports from each project that account for all expenditures. PIA also spends a great deal of time, money, and energy overseeing our various projects to maintain goal accountability. We have ministry teams who visit on a regular basis to ensure that our guidelines are followed and to make certain that the money is spent appropriately and honestly. We also receive monthly updates from each orphanage that includes information on church, orphanage, and the children's school worship and instruction.
Does PIA have any partner organizations? If so, how can I be sure that they are fiscally responsible?
Partners in Action works with different coalition partners who have proven histories of financial responsibility in their support for our international causes. Be a Hero and Hope for the Nations are international charities who have a common and urgent goal: to help the many needy children in the world and also to bring them the word of God. In accordance with PIA, they also are audited annually to ensure financial integrity. We also have many Marketplace Partners who offer administrative support directly through their business. For example, we work with a lending company who donates a percentage to PIA with every loan they close.
How does PIA finance the administrative costs?
We work with a variety of Marketplace Partners who donate to PIA and they include: Active Computing, Asset Trust Management, Baron Mortgage, D&L Press, Petra Plumbing, QVX, and Subway Foods 2000 Inc.
Are contributions to PIA tax deductible?
PIA is a 501(3)c nonprofit entity which means that any donation is considered a charitable contribution and is, therefore, tax deductible. We will issue US tax receipts by January 31, 2012 for all donations given in 2011.
