God has placed this Church in a unique place and time. They are located in Puerto Peñasco (also known as Rocky Point) which is just south of the border of Arizona and Mexico on the beautiful Sea of Cortez in the state of Sonora. Situated approximately 200 miles from Phoenix or Tucson and roughly 325 miles from San Diego, they have traditionally been a Church for Americans - expatriates and tourists alike. They truly believe that it is their responsibility to fulfill Jesus’ command of the Great Commission and to use the resources of which they have been entrusted to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to both Mexicans and Americans living here. Their monetary resources, due to the size of the Church and the current economic situation, are limited. Your help is needed!

They are not there by accident and not here to simply enjoy the rich culture of this incredible country and this town’s beautiful location on the tranquil sea. The spiritual and physical needs are great and now is the time – the time to seek the lost. We must share the Good News – the free gift of Salvation in Jesus - with every child and adult here in Puerto Peñasco. Jesus told us, “…From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked…" (Luke 12:48).
Partners in Action believes the Time has come to build a home for Family of God Christian Fellowship.
Started in 1992, this Church has been very blessed over the years to have been offered places to meet for little or no rent. However, they have also always faced restrictions in what we have been able to do with these temporary homes. Their current location, a second floor commercial office space without an elevator, also presents accessibility issues for some. Thanks to a most gracious individual, they have secured (with very generous terms) an incredible parcel of property that will allow them to build a permanent home.
In addition to a location for a Worship Services, this facility will also allow them to reach out, embrace and minister to the people of Puerto Peñasco by offering additional ministries including an additional food bank for the community, medical clinics, a thrift store, a soup kitchen, classroom space for language, vocational and college courses and perhaps a Christian School in the future. Our dreams are our only limitations.
