The vision for Bulembu Partners In Action, as Bulembu USA, is working in concert with Bulembu Canada and Bulembu Swaziland to transform Bulembu, an abandoned city in Swaziland, into a place of hope for thousands of orphans and widows so that they may have life. Our vision is to provide jobs, housing, medical care, and schools to those who have no other place of hope, and to turn the City on a Hill into a thriving place full of life.
We hope to reduce the AIDS rate dramatically, including decreasing the number of children who are born with AIDS. How? By providing a proven protocol for pregnant mothers with AIDS that includes nutritional, medicinal, and prenatal care, we can drastically reduce the chances a child will contract AIDS. In fact, when implemented properly - with a Caesarean delivery - the chances of AIDS being given to the child is only 3%! This program has been available for some time, but it has not been effective because the ability to maintain consistent administration of the protocol has been limited. However, with the Partners in Action vision we can manage the entire process because the mothers will live very near to the hospital.
Your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
Bulembu has the infrastructure that exists to support a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a model for a turnaround for the people of Swaziland and all nations who face the devastating impact of AIDS. Examine our strategy.
The Strategy for Reaching Swaziland
Homes of Hope
We have abundant housing.
Currently, there are 1,200 houses, two hostels, and two apartment buildings that will provide housing. The homes will have one widow/home mother who will care for ten orphans. To make the homes livable and secure, they will be renovated, furnished, and maintained by donors, churches, and corporations. The homes will be a safe haven where children will be sheltered, clothed, and fed.
Schools of Future
We have three schools that can educate 1,800 students.
The schools will provide an education for each of the orphans as well as the children of the community, which they probably would not otherwise receive. They will also be educated in the biblical principles of life. The first step is to procure - through donors, churches, and corporations - the underwriting of the renovation of the classrooms, the furnishings such as desks and supplies, along with teachers' salaries.
Hospital of Healing
An 80-bed hospital serves the medical needs of the community.
There will be a fully staffed and equipped hospital with a focus on Pediatrics and Obstetrics so we can care for pregnant mothers and children with AIDS, as well as other health needs. Currently, the structure needs renovation, equipment, and supplies as well as doctors and staff.
Nurseries for Life
We have nurseries to shelter abandoned babies.
This unique ministry will care for "Throw Away Babies." These are babies left almost anywhere for almost any reason...under trees, at doorsteps, in rest rooms, or even at the side of the road. These are simply babies who are not wanted. They are those babies abandoned as a result of rape, incest, or parents not being able to care for the child. PIA is committed to caring for abandoned newborns.
Small and Medium Business Development
There are manufacturing buildings and other support structures such as stores, gas stations, and schools that will help the city to thrive even further. While there is a 30% unemployment rate, it can be decreased by creating new jobs in industry, hospitality, education, and commerce areas. Bulembu can be a thriving city providing a livelihood to widows, orphans, and the unemployed. Some business areas that seem to be viable options in the city include: Timber, Real Estate, Private Education, Vocational School, Furniture, Honey, Events Planning, Adventure Tours, Lodge/Hotel, Fish Farm, Cable Car Tours, Avocado Farm, Dairy Farm, Pallets, and Manufacturing.
Ministry Teams
Lodges can serve church missions' work and ministry trips.
We will have places for Ministry Teams from churches and non-profit organizations to come and stay while they are renovating homes, schools, and churches, and/or ministering to the people. If you would like to volunteer, please complete our online volunteer application.
Partner Options/Ways to Give
God puts opportunities in front of us to serve Him by helping others. This is one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to make a real difference. Our faith and commitment to carry out God's Word and His work will have a huge impact on the widows and orphans of Bulembu. While the children and widows need life's basic necessities, without Christ's teachings their lives will not be complete. We need to minister...that they may have life (John 10:10).
Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows in their troubles, and refuse to let the world corrupt us. -
James 1:27 NLT
